Background
LHQW's formulation is based on two ancient formulae from the Han and Qing dynasties - Maxing Shigan decoction and Yinqiao powder - following the SARS epidemic. It contains 13 herbs that are anti-viral and anti-inflammatory. LHQW won the 2nd prize of the National Scientific and Technological Progress Award in 2011 for the treatment of influenza.
Following the outbreak of Covid-19 in Wuhan, a randomized clinical study, led by top TCM physicians, was conducted to study its efficacy in treating Covid-19. The findings of the trial showed strong indications of LHQW in helping patients recover faster and in the prevention of severe covid disease, when compared to the control group using only standard treatment. USAGE FOR RESPIRATORY DISEASES SUCH AS FLUS AND COLDS
Prophylaxis: If you know you are going out, take LHQW the day before, the day of the outing and the day after the outing. Dosage: 2 capsules twice a day ( after breakfast & dinner)
Early Treatment
>14 years & above: 4 capsules x 3 times a day ( after breakfast, lunch and dinner) for 7 to 10 days. Even if symptoms of fever, fatigue and cough end earlier, please continue to complete an 8-day course to help the body recover.
For children younger than 14 years old, we recommend that you consult a TCM physician on the dosage since the body condition differs from each child. Below dosage is a guide only.
>10 to <14 years old: 3 capsules x 3 times a day ( after breakfast, lunch and dinner).
> 5 to <12 years old: 2 to 3 capsules x 3 times a day ( after breakfast, lunch and dinner).
< 5 years: not recommended because it may be difficult for young children to swallow capsules.
